Preparing to Fold Rear Seats
Before you begin, make sure to remove any items or objects from the rear seat area to prevent interference with the folding process. Locate the levers or buttons that control the folding mechanism of the rear seats. These are usually found near the top or side of the seat. Familiarize yourself with the instructions in the owner's manual for your specific Hyundai Palisade model.
Folding the Rear Seats
Start by standing outside the vehicle with the rear doors open for easier access to the rear seats. Identify which seat you want to fold down first, whether it's the left or right side of the rear bench. Press the designated lever or button to release the locking mechanism that holds the seat in place. Gently push down on the top of the seat while simultaneously pulling the seatback towards the front seat to fold it down. Repeat the same process for the other side if you wish to fold both rear seats.
Securing the Folded Seats
Once the rear seats are folded down, make sure they are securely locked in place to prevent any movement while driving. Double-check the latching mechanism to ensure it has engaged properly. Test the stability of the folded seats by gently pushing and pulling on them.
