Regular Oral Hygiene
Brush your teeth twice a day using a soft-bristle toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. Floss at least once a day to remove food particles and plaque from in between your teeth and around the implant. Use an antimicrobial mouthwash to help reduce bacteria in your mouth. Visit your dentist for regular dental cleanings and check-ups.
Diet and Nutrition
Maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Limit sugary and acidic foods and beverages to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. Avoid chewing on hard or sticky foods that could damage the implants.
Protective Measures
Wear a mouthguard during sports activities to protect your teeth and implants from injury. Avoid smoking and tobacco products as they can contribute to implant failure. Use a nightguard if you tend to grind your teeth while sleeping.
Monitoring and Maintenance
Regularly inspect your dental implants for any signs of damage or looseness. Report any unusual symptoms or discomfort to your dentist immediately. Follow any additional care instructions provided by your dental professional.
