Step 1: Open the Phone App
To begin, locate and open the Phone app on your Samsung device. It is usually found on the home screen or in the app drawer. If you can't find the Phone app, you can use the search function to find and open it. Alternatively, you can swipe down on the home screen to access the notification panel and tap the phone icon to open the Phone app.
Step 2: Dial the Landline Number
Once the Phone app is open, you will see a keypad or a dialer screen. Using the keypad, enter the landline number you want to call. Make sure to include the area code if necessary. You can also use the Contacts app to find and select a landline number from your saved contacts list.
Step 3: Initiate the Call
After entering the landline number, you have two options to initiate the call: a. Tap the green call button, which is usually located at the bottom of the screen. This will immediately initiate the call to the landline number. b. If you want to review the number before making the call, you can tap the call icon or press the call button on the keyboard to see the number and then tap the green call button. In both cases, the Samsung phone will connect the call and you will hear a ringing sound. Note: Make sure you have a reliable network connection or cellular service to make the call successfully.
Step 4: Manage the Call
Once the call is connected, you can manage it using various options on your Samsung phone: - To end the call, tap the red end call button, which is usually located at the bottom of the screen. - To put the call on hold, tap the hold button (if available) or use the on-screen options. - To switch to speakerphone mode, tap the speakerphone icon. This allows you to continue the call hands-free. - To adjust the call volume, use the volume up or down buttons on the side of your phone. - To access additional options such as mute, add a call, or merge calls, check the on-screen menu or look for icons/icons. Note: Some options may vary depending on the Samsung phone model and software version.
